Every summer since opening in 2003, we organized a festival of bands that over the years has grown and become one of the cultural references of the Valencian Community and one of the cultural events marked in red on the agenda summer in our city of Torrevieja.

 

In the 13 editions this festival already accumulated, they participated bands of all Spanish territoy, as almost all European countries. During the days of the festival were always sold out of the 700 seats occupying the Municipal Theatre of Torrevieja, as the enclosure of the Eras de la Sal located a few meters from the port of Torrevieja.

 

This festival is held in the last week of August. Our band opened the festival with a special concert, and each day all the invited bands perform an individual concert for an audience given to good music. As climax, the last day of the festival ends with a closing ceremony where all the bands together perform a special show, playing musical pieces selected for the moment and of course, playing all hymns together of the regions or nations that have intervened at the festival.

 

The bands which are selected to participate in the festival are housed in one of the most emblematic hotel in the center of ​​Torrevieja, Hotel Fontana Plaza, being a few meters from the beach, maritine boulevard, restaurants, entertainment pubs, townhall and Theatres. With an indoor complex wich includes a swimming pool where they can enjoy in their freetime the summer weather in our area, also offering guided tours and accompanying musicians to symbolic areas of the city of Torrevieja and historical museums.

 

This event has a large institutional support which is reflected not only in the provision of the necessary facilities for the festival but also in the communication from the city hall. Editing more than 2,000 booklets with general documentation of the event and its participants, as well as 7,500 individual brochures band acting in the day, in addition to the design and editing of digital brochures that are distributed in PDF format to anyone wishing to download the official website of the Festival or from the official sites of the consistory Torrevieja. The press tracks the event having a great reputation nationally and internationally could say the city having a total of 112 residents of different countries.
